Keeping up with a bad girls dating life is not your average dinner and movie date. As many of you guys know from watching season four of the Bad Girls Club I transitioned from being involved in a long term relationship to being single and currently seeing…(I’ll keep you updated). Coming out of a six year relationship was hard, because I was out of my comfort zone. I have always cared a lot about Olamide, but I got to a point in my life where I did not see the relationship going anywhere. He’s a talented musician whose path was not aligning with mine. Coming off the best season of the Bad Girls Club, most watched reality show on Oxygen, my dating life has flourished. My dating life is nothing short of unpredictable, flying on private jets, dinner dates in Mexico City, trips over-seas to Portugal, Greek islands, etc. Most of the readers are probably wondering who I’m dating? Well, I can tell you this… it hasn’t only been guys! I have found myself exploring my sexuality and being a little bit adventurous. Hosting parties for lesbian nightclubs have introduced me to some bad “GIRL” behavior. Being on this “Party Tour” has lead to some unforgettable wild nights. I don’t want to leave my fans hanging so I guess I can say I kissed a girl and maybe I liked it. (Teeheheheheh)
I want to address that I don’t only date men with money. In fact I’ve dated men from all walk s of life, but I currently seem to attract men with money, because of the life style I’m living. I have dated men in the past who have had “no money” but who had charming personalities, were well rounded and amazing in BED. In past relationships, I found myself frustrated when I had to paying for “EVERYTHING”. So it’s nice being spoiled every once in awhile, a “bitch” should feel like a princess occasionally.
After the show premiered I encountered all types of men who are intrigue by my bad girl persona. I suppose I become a challenge when I’m a self -proclaimed bad girl with naughty girl wit. Men always conclude that my naughty ways will lead to naughty moves in the bedroom. I guess the Latin rumors are true, it’s in my blood. It’s good harmless fun! Being a soccer star, they say we can go 90 minutes in 11 different positions.

It seems as if 2009 and 2010 is the year of the reality television shows. Keyshia Cole’s sister Elite, and Neffe’s hair stylist Dariel are in the process of shooting their own reality show. Yes you heard me correctly. According to Dariel the show is to portray their grind and hustle to make it in this cut throat industry. It will also show that Keyshia does NOT take care of them. Dariel also says that the show will be speaking on issues of how money was stolen from his former management. But the main focus of the show is to show the world his struggle as a hair stylist that is trying to build his brand and clientel. It will also show how Elite is in the studio making her own album, and her search for her dad. According to Dariel this is going to be REAL and RAW, and nothing will be held back. I came across these gentlemen while searching the web and I love to
see young men doing positive things with they’re energy.
The X Squad was formed by five aspiring and very talented teenagers from Chicago, Illinois. They met and became friends in 2006 while attending the same school. During their friendship they found that they all shared a love for music. The outcome of hours spent in the studio and working hard created The X Squad.
The X Squad consists of Producer/Rapper; Adrian “Xspo” Harvey II and Rappers; Stanley “C Tray” Peavy, Rory “Flame” Harris, Chris”Ace” Neyland and Joshua “Yung J.R” Reedy.
The X Squad is a group of young men working hard towards success in the music industry. During the short time since the conception of The X Squad, they have appeared on the “Ninja Show”, (shown on local access channel 19-Chicago). They have performed on stage at the Maywood Fest, Bellwood Fest, Taste of Austin, All Stars Talent Network and have opened up for some well-known artist.
The X Squad has done Radio and Newspaper interviews and has also been recognized in a local underground magazine. Their single “Shawty Get Low” was 1 for 5 weeks on Chicago’s radio station 107.5 WCGI during the radio’s “Go-ILL Radio” hour. In there quest to make a name for themselves and to show off their talents, they have taken part in many talent shows through-out the Chicago land and Northern Indiana areas.

Midnight shows are perfectly slotted to become cult phenomenons (After all, how many underground sensations happen at lunchtime?). If given the chance, iO’s latest late night talk show endeavor, El Show with Alex Moffat which is directed by Clyde Christopher, could become just that. As Nancy Franklin pointed out in a discussion in this week’s issue of the New Yorker regarding the Leno vs. O’Brien flap, NBC pulled the plug on O’Brien way too soon. Sure it may have been a ratings clunker in comparison to Letterman, but remember how poorly Leno was performing until July 10, 1995 when he called out Hugh Grant on his sex scandal by uttering those four famous words, “What were you thinking?” The comparison of course is that El Show is just a few exhilarating gags away from success.
El Show vaunts a mixture of live music, variety, stand-up, improv, sketch and interview. Last Friday’s show featured a sit-down with Cook County Social Club’s very funny Brendan Jennings (who recently joined the Second City e.t.c. cast) as well as improvising musical duo Kate and Mike, currently in the middle of a run at Donny’s Skybox. It began with with a short sketch, a parody of the film Groundhog Day in which host Alex Moffat and crew are doomed to ask the question, will the show be renewed for a second season (a timely one given that its run is slated to end on February 19).
The show wasn’t perfect. It was too heavy on showcasing improvisers and improvisation. Given that it’s a variety show it should have—variety. Guests Kate and Mike weren’t able to successfully pull off the gimmick of creating an entire musical in just five minutes (although I’ve seen them fare better with their typical 30-minute format) and Jennings has far funnier tricks up his sleeve then the mediocre sketch he peddled here. Also, because Improvised Shakespeare Company ran late, El Show didn’t actually start until well past midnight (ugh).
But I have to admit, the crew assembled for this endeavor are mighty likable. Moffat’s maroon blazer and matching bow tie, coupled with the pearly whites he flashes occasionally from underneath his perfectly groomed mustache, suggest vintage Vegas, an aging showman, a slimeball grasping at a second chance to play ringmaster. Surprisingly, Moffat plays the part totally opposite. Unlike Jordan Klepper, who spoofed the talk show genre by adding just the right amount of smarm, artifice and cluelessness to the Late Night Late Show, iO’s previous talk show endeavor, Moffat couldn’t be more earnest—and it works. He gushes openly at the chance to improvise with guest Jennings (without coming across as a sycophant), stays away from the self-deprecating humor that defines Conan and if you watch him carefully, his eyes widen and his eyebrows twitch when he’s thoroughly engaged. He likewise has a fine supporting cast including Rob Grabowski in the Andy Richter role, the likable Stephanie McCullough on piano and even a live vocalist who sings, “Check out the balls on this guy!” as part of the opening jingle. I think the balls in question are the ones Moffat has to juggle to give El Show the legs it needs for a successful run. But if iO doesn’t renew El Show past February, I hear there’s a slot open on NBC.
Oprah’s present to herself: Springer spaniel pups

Oprah Winfrey gave herself a birthday present Friday when she adopted two springer spaniel puppies from a ChicagoChicago reviews shelter, according to her Web site and shelter officials.
In keeping with the background of their high profile new owner, the puppies, 14-week-old sisters Sunny and Lauren, already made their first television appearance, on the Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday evening. A littermate of the pups, Trent, which was going to a friend of a friend of Oprah’s, also appeared.
Winfrey contacted shelter officials about six months ago asking them to be on the lookout for springer spaniel pups, said Paula Fasseas, founder and chair of PAWS, a Chicago-based no-kill shelter at 1997 N. Clybourn Avenue.
She said that while she is just happy that the dogs were saved, she is particularly excited with them going to Oprah because of her ability to put focus on saving shelter animals.
“What’s really wonderful about Oprah adopting is that she educates the world and the message is to go to a shelter,” said Fasseas. “She’s really directed so much attention to this terrible problem we have with homeless pets.”
Fasseas said Winfrey has been a generous donor to the shelter and has previously adopted a cocker spaniel from there. Previously she featured dogs and the shelter in her magazine.
Fasseas said shelter officials search the city pound in an effort to save animals from being euthanized and to find them homes. She said the siblings were part of a litter turned over to the pound by an owner. Because they were turned over by the owner, the shelter could have euthanized them immediately, she said.
She said she did not know the circumstances behind the owner’s turning them in but said often animals are brought to the pound by people who may have lost their homes or just don’t have the means to care for the animals.
Fasseas said she had only told shelter workers to keep an eye out for a springer spaniel. She kept Oprah’s identity secret and only told them that a “donor” was interested.
When the dogs were located, a picture was sent to Winfrey’s assistants and Fasseas was surprised to hear Oprah’s voice on her telephone.
“I like those, I want to see those spaniels,” Fasseas recalled Oprah saying.
After seeing the dogs in person, she decided to adopt them, Fasseas said.
Fasseas said the dogs were being kept with a foster family to ensure that they were healthy until the adoption could be finalized. She said the dogs will stay in the foster home until they are old enough to join Oprah’s other dogs. A previous dog of Oprah’s had died of a highly contagious disease.
By coincidence, the adoptions of the black-and-white pups came the same day that Winfrey turned 56, according to her site.
“I did decide, though, to get myself a little birthday gift this year. Actually, I thought I’d get myself two,” she says on her site. ”They just arrived in time for my birthday.”

What’s the quickest way to a young voter’s heart? Hosting a benefit concert with homegrown hip-hop superstar Lupe Fiasco, perhaps? Looking to secure the lower age bracket in the February 2nd primary elections for a seat in the U.S. Senate, Democratic hopeful Cheryle Jackson was the guest of honor at Thursday night’s show. But the crowd seemed more interested in seeing Lupe than any of Jackson’s politics.
I’d never been to the Shrine before, so I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The club is, in a word, sleek. The decor is au courant and the space is roomy with two bars, one of which resides beneath the stage like some kind of backward orchestra pit. The downers here are the mandatory $4 coat check and the apparent disregard for any typical concert schedule I’ve ever encountered. The show was supposed to start at 9pm but didn’t get rolling until well past 10. And when I say get going, I mean at least three opening acts and an emcee doing everything from R&B jams about getting cavities to a song about 140-character hook-ups called “Twitter Me Baby.” As the crowd grew progressively drunker and more restless, there was an audible groan from the audience as the emcee appeared around midnight to deliver the bad news. Lupe wouldn’t come on until after a 15 minute intermission. But, as these things tend to happen, when Lupe finally took the stage, his energy blew in a second wind and as he dove into “Kick, Push,” all was forgiven.

Carol Reed never got the respect he deserves as a director. Yeah, he directed Oliver!, but everybody makes mistakes. He also directed the tense little drama Odd Man Out, in which the inhabitants of Belfast deal with a wounded revolutionary on the run. And of course Reed directed The Third Man, with Joseph Cotton chasing his tail in Vienna looking for the mysterious Harry Lime (Orson Welles). There’s not a doom-metal band around that can rightly claim freedom from Black Sabbath’s influence, but the nearly 40-year-old Virginia-based Pentagram is nevertheless a special case. The maniacal Bobby Liebling has fronted the group since its 1971 inception, setting a groovily evil example for everyone from St. Vitus to High on Fire. Empty Bottle, 10pm, $20.
NIGHTLIFE – Hercules and Love Affair + Kid Color + Vapor Eyes
It’s only once in a blue moon that an electronic act can make an impact that reaches outside of dance music’s insular world. Andy Butler’s Hercules and Love Affair project was one such act. Praise for his 2008 album came in from far and wide; our TOC review is one of the only five star reviews in recent history. We did receive word recently that he’s scraped most of his band so unfortunately, tonight’s performance is a strictly DJ affair, but rest assured his set will be filled with the same emotive disco, house and techno that he exudes in his productions. Local favorites Kid Color and Vapor Eyes open. Abbey Pub. 8pm; $15, 18 and up.
FILM – My Name is Julia Ross and Two O’Clock Courage
Remember double features? No? Neither do we, but we still think it’s a great idea, and the Bank of America Cinema has a doozy tonight: My Name is Julia Ross and Two O’Clock Courage. Both are psychological thrillers from the 1940s involving amnesia. That’s inspired programming. And if you’re worried about time, it’s worth noting that both movies are short, so you should be out and on your way to the bars by about 10:15pm. The two Democratic governor candidates today met face-to-face for the final time before Tuesday’s election, with Comptroller Dan Hynes coming under fire from both Gov. Pat Quinn and a radio host over a controversial TV ad featuring the late Mayor Harold Washington.
Appearing on the “Cliff Kelley Show” on WVON 1690-AM, the governor again accused Hynes of using decades-old footage of Washington, ChicagoChicago reviews’s first African-American mayor, criticizing Quinn to turn black voters against him.
The radio show host seized on that idea when he asked Hynes the purpose of the ad, in which Washington says in 1987 that he fired Quinn as City Hall revenue director because Quinn was more concerned with public relations than effective management.
“Was the intent to try to divide the black community or to draw votes from people who are racist and didn’t want Washington in office in the first place?” said Kelley, who frequently sided with Quinn.
Hynes countered that he ran the ad to “explain to people that the governor’s inability to solve problems and his lack of competence is not just a one-time situation.”
Quinn used the live radio show to again question Hynes’ involvement with his father’s 1987 mayoral bid against Washington. Tom Hynes, 19th Ward power broker, made his third-party bid at a time of great racial tension in Chicago politics.
“I’d rather lose the race for governor than divide the people of Illinois along race,” Quinn said. “That’s what my opponent is doing.”
Quinn also repeatedly ticked off the names of prominent black elected officials who have endorsed him to demonstrate his support in the African-American community, a key source of Democratic votes.
At times, Hynes appeared frustrated at the amount of time Quinn was given to respond to questions, at one point asking Kelley off-air if he could respond to a “10-minute monologue” Quinn gave on job creation. Kelley answered no, though Hynes later cut in.
Afterward, Quinn declared the exchange the “most substantive” discussion of issues yet. Asked if it was because he got more favorable air time, Quinn laughed before state Sen. Donne Trotter, D-Chicago, interjected.
“Well, he’s home here,” Trotter said. “No doubt about it.”

Partner in web radio Ponzi scheme pleads guilty

A partner in a ChicagoChicago reviews web radio sports show has pleaded guilty to swindling as many as 250 investors out of more than $6 million in a Ponzi scheme that guaranteed risk-free monthly returns of at least 10 percent.
David Hernandez appeared before U.S. District Judge Robert Gettleman on Thursday and pleaded guilty to a single count of mail fraud. He could get up to 14 years in prison under federal guidelines.
Hernandez fled downstate and attempted to commit suicide after the scheme was exposed.
He was one of two men who in early 2009 launched ChicagoSportsWebio.com — a now defunct online radio show with popular host Mike North. North has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
