2 Shot @ Washington Park
At least nine people were shot Tuesday and overnight in separate
incidents on Chicago’s South and West Sides, officials said.

4 Shootings In Chitown Last Night
At least four people were wounded in separate shootings overnight on
the South and West Sides, officials said.
The first shooting happened on the South Side in the city’s South
Shore neighborhood, police said.
Officers responded about 8:33 p.m. to the 7100 block of South
Merrill Avenue and found a 33-year-old man who was struck in
an apparent drive-by, police said.
Preliminary reports said the man was walking westbound on 71st Street when a vehicle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed approached. Someone
leaned out of the vehicle and fired several shots at the victim, police said.
The man was taken in good condition to Northwestern
Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to his thigh, police said.
About 11:15 p.m., two people were shot in the city’s
Longwood Manor neighborhood on the South Side.
Officers responded to the 1300 block of West 98th
Place and found a 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man
with gunshot wounds.

Teen Hit By Speeding Police On 62nd & King Drive
A teenage girl was hit by a police vehicle and suffered leg injuries Monday night in the Woodlawn neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.
Paramedics responded to the accident scene in the 6200 block of South King Drive at about 9:20 p.m., said Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital, police said. Alfaro described her condition as ”stable.”
