On the songs she writes:
“My album is basically a massive gossip column about other people’s lives. I would say it is 80 percent about people and 20 percent is me. I like to observe the right- and wrong-doings of others.”

The next “X-Factor” judge has yet to be determined, but according to new reports, someone named Chaka Khan may already have the job.
A source close to Khan recently told TMZ that she could be the one to fill the spot. Well at least she really wants to be on the panel, says the source.
Allegedly, she asked her people to reach out to the producers of the show, saying she’d make the perfect judge.

On sticking with her guns:
“I stand up for what I believe in, and a lot of the time that can be against people’s opinion, but that’s the hard thing to do, it really is sometimes. Especially if the majority doesn’t agree.”
On her mother’s strength:
“My mom is the toughest woman I know. I’m finding myself becoming a lot more like her. Every time I come to a crossroads, I always find myself going back to my mom’s methods.”
On her fondness of the water:
“Growing up in Barbados I did a lot of swimming, and I spent a lot of time in the ocean with my dad. I love the ocean, so swimming was one of the fun parts of the movie.”
On her favorite food (at the moment):
“My favorite food right now is microwave butter popcorn. And when I’m in London I’m close to authentic Jamaican food, so I tend to eat that every day.”
On starting slow when it comes to acting:
“I wanted to start small, somewhere it could be a learning experience. I didn’t want it to be surfaced at all. And now I’m looking forward to seeing what I do next.”

CALUMET CITY, Ill. — Suburban Chicago police have shot to [rip] a 15-year-old boy suffering from Asperger’s syndrome after he threatened officers with a knife.
The mother of Stephon Watts says she called police to her Calumet City home Wednesday after the boy became upset and did not want to go to school. People with Asperger’s often have normal or high intelligence, but struggle with social skills.
Calumet City Police Chief Edward Gilmore says police were frequently called to the Watts home to deal with Stephon, who he said was “very strong and liked to fight with police.”
Gilmore says the boy was in the basement holding a knife when police arrived. He says the teen lashed out, cutting one officer on an arm.

On how she landed her first job:
“I was with my dad, he was going to an audition, and I kind of poached it. I had really long, curly hair and they were like, ‘Oh, you should audition to play Howard Stern’s daughter in this.’ So I did, and that was it.”
On whether she prefers drama or comedy:
“It doesn’t really matter to me, but this is my first sitcom. I did a lot of drama when I was younger, so this is a lot more fun because it’s new and I don’t have to go to work and at the end of the day be drained because I’ve been crying all day or something like that, you know? So I just get to go to work and have fun and kind of goof off.”
On how similar she is in real life to her “Modern Family” character of Haley:
“Haley and I have exactly one and a half things in common: neither of us can cook to save our lives, and I always have my phone on me. My phone is the half thing — but only half — because I’m not always texting. I always forget to text people back, even though I have my phone on me. There are a lot of things that might slip Haley’s mind during the course of a day, but texting somebody back is not one of them.”
It was speculated months ago. Now it’s a done deal.
British actress Naomi Harris has been signed to play James Bond’s foil, Miss Moneypenny, in the upcoming James Bond film, “Skyfall.” Initially, Harris will play an M16 field agent named Eve.
On Lindsay’s Playboy cover:
Dr. Drew – “So Lindsay chose to be in Playboy. Was that weird for you?”
Michael – “I haven’t seen it and I won’t look at it. I’ve never looked at it.”
Dr. Drew – “I hear it’s very stylized and very appropriate.”

Dr. Drew – “I guess some pictures came out today, people were concerned about with Ali…that she was too skinny…are you worried about her?”
Michael – “Well she’s modeling…”
Dr. Drew – “I worry about models being urged to be too skinny.”
On his relationship with his daughter Lindsay:
Dr. Drew – “How is your relationship with Lindsay now?”
Michael – “Getting a lot better. She’s on a great path….I’ve been in touch with her.”
Dr. Drew – “Are you worried about her?”
Michael – “Not like I was….I still have concerns. This whole pill epidemic kills people…”
