According to law enforcement sources, Berg — real name Christian Ward — was at a house party at around 2:00 AM Monday morning when four suspects entered the home and brandished firearms. 

We’re told the suspects pistol-whipped two people inside the party — one of whom was Berg. Law enforcement sources say the suspects robbed eight people and made off with $10,000 in cash and jewelry.

A 16-year-old was fatally shot and two 17-year-olds were injured as bullets crashed through the front window of a home where the boys were attending a party early this morning on ChicagoChicago reviews’s West SideWest Side reviews.

About 4:15 a.m., police responded to shots fired in the 4300 block of West Potomac Avenue and found three gunshot victims, said Police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.

The 16-year-old, who has not been identified, was shot in the chest and pronounced on the scene, Kubiak said. One of the other victims was shot in the leg and foot while the other own was shot in a shoulder, Kubiak said.

Officials said there were about a dozen people attending the party when bullets crashed through a front window and hit the three boys.

Police are investigating.

Four people  – including at least two juveniles — were hurt when a fight broke out tonight among hundreds of people waiting to enter a South SideSouth Side reviews roller skating rink.

One of the juvenile victims suffered head trauma and was taken in serious-to-critical condition to the University of ChicagoChicago reviews Comer Children’s Hospital, while the other was taken in fair-to-serious condition with minor injuries to South Shore Hospital, officials said.

One of the juvenile victims was believed to be 13 years old, officials said.

Two other victims of unknown age suffered minor injuries in the skirmish, but were not taken by ambulances to hospitals.

Officials said the victims were believed to be among hundreds of people, including many juveniles, waiting to get into The Rink at 1122 E. 87th St. about 8:30 p.m.

It’s unclear what sparked the fight, and it was not known if the victims were injured in the fight or by the crowding.

A telephone call to the skating rink went unanswered tonight.

Two “people of interest” were taken into custody out of state today for questioning in the slaying of a 70-year-old man from unincorporated Lake County near Antioch, Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran said.

An autopsy this evening reveled that David Queen, of the 40200 block of Deep Lake Round, died of multiple stab wounds to the upper back and chest, Lake County Coroner Richard Keller said.

Lake County Sheriff’s police were called to the scene at about 1:30 p.m. by a tenant of the home who saw the body through a window when he could not get in, Curran said.

The home is not a part of the Dream Catcher Stables, located in the 40100 block of North Deep Lake Road, which was also cordoned off by police for investigative purposes, Lake County Undersheriff Charles Fagan said.

There are two sides to this post.

I will begin with my complaint about all of the women on this site.

The Scold: How could you? How could you throw yourself out there like this and end up on this dispicable site…and you wonder why these guys don’t respect you.

The Hold: I feel so sorry for these young women. They need help and it’s sad to see anyone treat themselves this way. Especially, our next round of potential female doctors, scholars, teachers and other inportant professions.

Having said that, I feel less for the men that are on this site “complaining” that they got all the sex they wanted, oral and otherwise, from these women and claiming they are gold diggers.

Don’t get me wrong, I know that this gold digger female may exist, but it’s the man that is exploiting her and then complaining about it. What a scrub. Men, you suck if you are even participating in any shape or form with this site. Yuc!

This website is just awful, but it’s out there. I am telling you about it as a warning. It’s a warning that there are guys out there who are looking to use you, young lady, just to get you used…so to speak.

These are the scabs that are complaining on this site.

Respect only comes with patience. Respect yourself. Make him wait. Be good to yourself. Don’t end up on this forsaken website.

Sadly, Rihanna, Amber Rose and Mary J. Blige are right on the front cover making headlines about if they are wife material.

Four people have been hospitalized, three in critical or serious condition, after they were involved in a crash this morning in the Prairie Shores neighborhood, authorities said.

About 9:30 a.m. authorities were called to the 400 block of East 31st Street to the scene of a major accident.

Early reports indicated that four ambulances were called. Three people were taken to Stroger Hospital listed in serious or critical condition. A fourth person was treated at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in good condition, a ChicagoChicago reviews Fire Department spokesman said.

Further details about the vehicle or those involved were not immediately available.

Six people were injured this morning when a van rolled over on I-290 near the Laramie exit.

At about 2:10 a.m., paramedics and Illinois State Police responded to a call of a van that rolled over on the outbound side of the Eisenhower, said a spokesman for the Illinois State Police.

Six people were taken to area hospitals, police said. There was no information available on the victims’ conditions.

As of 2:30 a.m., police were still on the scene investigating.

Mayor Richard Daley today urged Chicagoans to contribute to Red Cross efforts to help the victims of the massive earthquake in Haiti.
 
“Actually, we’ve found the best thing to go to is the Red Cross,” Daley said. “We’ve found out that when you start doing special things it gets lost. We’re asking people to make a donation, whether it’s five, 10, 15, 20 – whatever it is, to the Red Cross, because the Red Cross can handle this.”
 
The mayor said he has been struck by the harrowing images of survivors searching for loved ones in the rubble of Port-Au-Prince, the country’s capital.

Four people were still being questioned by Country Club Hills Police, almost 24 hours after 15 people were taken into police custody following a shooting that left one person wounded and resulted in a barricade situation at a nearby home in the south suburb.

Police along with Mayor Dwight Welch responded to 169th Street and Old Elm Drive at about 6:20 p.m. for a report of a person shot in the street, Welch said.

Officers found a “young adult” had been shot in the leg through the thigh, and he was taken to a local hospital. Welch said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, and the victim was conscious and talking at the scene. He was treated and released from South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, according to a village news release.

Seven people, including a 1-year-old child and its mother, holed up in a house near the shooting during the standoff. Police had surrounded the house for several hours and demanded the residents come out. There was no indication any of them had been held hostage. They surrendered to police peacefully about about 9:20 p.m., authorities said.

In addition, police took eight other people into custody for questioning after the shooting, including the four who were still being questioned this afternoon, a spokeswoman for Country Club Hills said in a release.

The 1-year-old child was unharmed, Welch said.

He could not say what may have led to the shooting.

A firefighter suffered minor injuries this morning while working on a fire that displaced four people in South ChicagoChicago reviews.

At 5:30 a.m., about 50 firefighters and paramedics responded to a fire in a two-story single family home in the 8600 block of South Marquette Avenue, according to Fire Department spokesman Kevin McGregor.

Initially, firefighters believed four people were trapped on the building’s second floor, but upon arriving at the scene, they found the two adults and two children standing outside of their home, McGregor said.

While working on the blaze, the firefighter fell from a staircase in the back of the home. He was take to a nearby hospital and was released by 12:30 p.m., McGregor said.

McGregor said the fire started in the rear of the home, but the cause is still under investigation.

One person was killed and three people were injured this morning in a fire in a West SideWest Side reviews brick two-flat, officials said.

The fire in the 1600 block of North McVicker Avenue  in the AustinAustin reviews community broke out shortly before 5:30 a.m. and was put out about an hour later, said Cmdr. Will Knight, a fire department spokesman.

Two people in serious condition were taken to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center. A third person was taken to West Suburban Medical Center, reportedly in fair condition.

One person in the building used a wheelchair but the condition of that person wasn’t immediately available, Knight said.

North Avenue was blocked to westbound traffic at Austin Avenue. McVicker was blocked in both directions.

Firefighters responded to a blaze at a two-story home in the 4000 block of West Jackson Boulevard about 8 a.m. today.

When firefighters arrived, two people were trapped in the basement. Firefighters soon rescued them, said Cmdr. Will Knight, a ChicagoChicago reviews Fire Department spokesman.

The man and woman were critically injured in the fire. One was taken to Stroger Hospital and the other to Mt. Sinai Hospital.

Knight said there was “significant damage” to the home.

Three people were hurt when a fire broke out on the first floor of a house in the AustinAustin reviews neighborhood this morning.

The three were taken to West Suburban Medical Center, where they were in good condition, according to ChicagoChicago reviews Fire Department spokesman Will Knight. The fire started at 4:35 a.m. on the first floor of a two-story building at 5471 W. Division St., Knight said.

The fire was extinguished about an hour and a half later, he said.

The cause was under investigation.

A teen was shot in the neck after he was chased into a Rogers Park New Year’s Eve party by three men in black clothes, police said.

The 18-year-old man was walking around, talking, when officers arrived but his friends began punching and kicking police, authorities said.
“Basically they attacked us when we got on the scene,” said Rogers Park
District Lt. Paul Kusinski, one of the officers sent to the three-flat
in the 2200 block of West Arthur around 3 a.m. today. “Most of them were under the
influence. They were riled about their friend being shot and took it
out on police.”

The teen apparently had exchanged gang signs earlier with the three,
according to police. They approached him outside the house and the teen
ran inside. At least four shots were fired, one of them smashing
through a hallway window and hitting the teen, police said.

“When we tried to separate the victim from the crowd, there were
punches and kicks thrown by individuals,” Kusinski said. “I’m not sure
what the motivation was.”

One officer was treated and released at a hospital, and two people at the party were arrested, he said.

The teen was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and was listed in good condition.

“He’s very lucky,” Kusinski said.

At least 40 people were temporarily evacuated from a condominum building in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood early this morning because of leaking carbon monoxide.

The Chicago Fire Department instituted a hazardous materials response when dangerously high levels of the gas were found at the five-story building at 3500 S. Sangamon St., said Quention Curtis, a Fire Department spokesman. The leak was reported about midnight, he said.

Curtis said occupants of the South SideSouth Side reviews building were allowed back in by 1 a.m. Peoples Gas personnel remained on the scene early this morning.

Curtis could not say what caused the leak.

Three people suffered minor injuries tonight when a Metra train in Bensenville hit their car, which apparently had slid onto the tracks.

About 7:30 p.m. the car slid on ice at York Road and the Metra right-of-way, coming to rest between the two sets of tracks, according to Bensenville Fire Battalion Chief Larry Karp.

A train coming into the Bensenville station clipped the vehicle, which slightly injured three adults inside, he said.

The three were taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Two other adults were checked out on the scene and did not have to be taken to a hospital, he said.

Two people were wounded overnight in separate shootings in the South SideSouth Side reviews’s Woodlawn community, according to ChicagoChicago reviews police.

The victims were a 17-year-old boy and a 34-year-old man. Neither of their wounds appeared life-threatening.

The teen told police he was driving near his home in the 6200 block of South Kimbark Avenue about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday when a gunman approached and fired 10 shots, striking him twice in the back. The teen then drove to the University of Chicago Medical Center before being transferred to Mt. Sinai Hospital.

About 12:10 a.m. this morning, the 34-year-old, who police said works as a janitor at the Illinois Institute of Technology, was on his way to visit his mother when a gunman shot him in his lower leg near East 63rd Street and South Evans Avenue.

Police said his mother, who lives a few blocks away from where her son was shot, eventually drove him to Provident Hospital.

No one was in custody early this morning in either of the shootings, which police said do not appear related.

An AustinAustin reviews man died early this morning, about six hours after he had been shot while walking near his home, authorities said.

Brian Glover, 29, of the 1700 block of North Long Avenue, was declared dead at 4:55 a.m. at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Glover was walking at the south end of his block about 10:40 p.m. Tuesday when he was shot in the abdomen, said ChicagoChicago reviews Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli. Glover then ran home and told people there that he had been shot, and authorities were called.

Mirabelli said this evening he had no information on what Glover told those at his home, or any other details of what happened.

“The detectives are still trying to beat the bushes finding out the particulars,” Mirabelli said. “It’s still an ongoing investigation.”

Opponents and supporters of a plan to move up to 100 alleged terrorists to Illinois from Guantanamo Bay are preparing to address the first state legislative hearing on the issue.

Around 50 people are scheduled to testify at Tuesday’s hearing before the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability.

They include labor union officials who say selling the Thomson Correctional Center to the federal government to house detainees will create hundreds of jobs.

Opponents scheduled to speak include conservative activist BeverlyBeverly Hills reviews Perlson. She says U.S. Naval detention center in Cuba has worked well and that there’s no good reason to bring prisoners to the small northwestern Illinois community.

The hearing is at a high school auditorium in Sterling, which is southeast of Thomson.

At least six people were shot late Sunday night in ChicagoChicago reviews’s Englewood neighborhood. A seventh person also was injured but it was not clear how.

At about 11:25 p.m., Chicago Fire Department paramedics responded to a call of several people shot near the 6600 block of South Damen Avenue, said spokesman Chief Joe Roccasalva.

Six people were shot at the location and another found injured, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.  She could not say if that other person had also been shot.

Preliminary reports said five adults were found shot in a van and another was discovered shot on the street, police said. A SUV that fled the scene was possibly involved in the shooting, police said.  

Two victims were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, Roccasalva said. Two people were taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital and three people were taken to Holy Cross Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, he said.

AKRON, Ohio — Police in Ohio say the mother of Pittsburgh Steelers star James Harrison has been charged with assault following a brawl at a game-watching party in a community hall.

Akron police say 62-year-old Mildred Harrison was one of three people cited after the fight at a Veterans of Foreign Wars post Thursday.

Police say it’s not clear why the party turned violent about 10 p.m., during Cleveland’s 13-6 upset of division foe Pittsburgh.

Victims have told police they were pushed, punched and struck with beer bottles.

Harrison is due in Akron Municipal Court on Thursday. She declined to comment to the Akron Beacon-Journal when reached by telephone at her Akron home Friday.

James Harrison was the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2008.

In a recent interview with the good people over at All Hip Hop, video vixen turned female rapper Lola Monroe (you might know her as “Angel Lola Luv”) had some choice words for the people who think her “Boss Bitch Movement” is swagger jacking Nicki Minaj’s “Barbie Movement” (or “Barbie thing” as Lola calls it lol).

AllHipHop.com: Well as your rapping is concerned, I see that you’re creating your niche with the “boss b**ch movement”. Tell us about that.

Lola Monroe: “The boss b**ch movement” is a female empowerment movement. It basically represents the female’s that are grinding right now. It represents female empowerment. It’s hard for females these days. Not only in the industry, but day-to-day life. So, it’s basically a push showing female strength and how we got this regardless of the obstacles we were faced with. Whether the female has a nine to five, doing school, in the club dancing, or whatever it might be. It’s female empowerment.

AllHipHop.com: What would you say to people who may think you’re jacking Nick Minaj and her “Barbie movement”?

Lola Monroe: I don’t do the Barbie thing… that’s her thing. I really don’t agree with it, that’s basic. It doesn’t make sense to me because first off, you’re basically saying I’m jacking somebody who has never been known to have their style all throughout their career. She’s never been set to have her own style. It’s always been set to say she’s jacking Lil’ Kim to Foxy [Brown} and now Lil' Wayne. So how can I be jacking somebody or using somebody's style if they never been known to have their own style. That part never made sense. That's one.
