The son of music icon George Clinton was found dead earlier this week. BET.com is reporting that the body of George Clinton Jr. was
discovered in his Tallahassee, Florida apartment on Monday. A maintenance worker at the complex entered Clinton’s residence after
not seeing him for a few days. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office was notified, and Clinton’s body was identified and taken to
the morgue. The medical examiner’s office says the funk legend’s son died of natural causes, adding that he had been dead for
a couple days before his body was discovered. George Clinton Sr. was notified of his son’s passing by friends. He has yet to
comment on the incident.

George Clinton rose to prominence as the founder of legendary funk group Parliament-Funkadelic. He was inducted into the Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.

Chicago Bears defensive end Gaines Adams died Sunday morning of cardiac arrest, the Greenwood, S.C., county coroner said. He was 26.Greenwood County coroner James T. Coursey told ESPN that Adams, a Greenwood native, was taken to the emergency room

at Self Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9 a.m. Adams, who had just completed his third season in the NFL, went into cardiac arrest at his family’s home early Sunday morning, said Marcia Kelley-Clark, chief deputy coroner for Greenwood County. The autopsy showed Adams had an enlarged heart, a condition Kelley-Clark said can often lead to a heart attack. But Adams’ relatives didn’t know about it.

“Nobody was aware of any kind of medical condition,” Kelley-Clark said. Toxicology tests are being run by the State Law Enforcement Division, though drug use was not suspected as a factor in Adams’ death. However, those results probably will not be available for at least two months, Kelley-Clark said. “I remember him at the 2007 Draft as a fine young man,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said of Adams on Sunday. “Our condolences to Gaines’ family, his teammates on the Bears and Buccaneers, and their organizations on their loss.”

A 13-year-old boy visiting from Germany and his 41-year-old uncle from ChicagoChicago reviews were killed in a weekend car crash while driving to Lake Forest to visit relatives, officials said today.

Esat Babapour, of the 4100 block of Pontiac Avenue in Chicago, was traveling east on Illinois Highway 60 near Lake Forest Academy Saturday when weather conditions caused him to lose control of his 2002 Toyota Tundra and spin around several times before ending up in the westbound lanes, Lake Forest Police Deputy Chief Glenn Burmeister said.

Babapour’s vehicle was struck in the passenger side by a semi truck, despite the efforts of the truck driver to avoid the crash, Burmeister said.

Babapour was taken to Lake Forest Hospital where he was pronounced dead about 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Lake County Coroner Richard Keller said. His nephew, Aminamin Saleh, was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later, Keller said.

South Korean fashion model, Daul Kim, was found dead Thursday in her Paris home in an apparent suicide, officials said. Her sleek look was most recently on display in this fall’s Topshop ad for designer Christopher Kane’s collection. The 5-foot-10 Kim has flitted through the pages of countless big-name fashion books over the years, including several international versions of Vogue. French police found 20-year-old Kim’s body. An official says French cops are investigating the cause of death but refused to provide further details today. (Source)

Charges are pending against the driver of a car that ran a red light on a South SideSouth Side reviews street on Saturday, causing a chain-reaction crash that left an 87-year-old woman in his own car and the driver of another car both dead, police said.

The crash happened about 5:10 p.m. at 75th and State Streets, police said. A Ford sedan was making a turn from 75th to the northbound lanes of State when a Chevy Malibu headed north on State ran a red light and slammed into the Ford, said ChicagoChicago reviews Police Sgt. Karla Chaplin.

The Ford struck an Infiniti stopped nearby as the Malibu lost control and hit another Chevy, Chaplin said.

The driver of the Ford, Christopher Chatman, 27, of the 5900 block of South Throop Street, was pronounced dead a few hours later at a nearby hospital. Ardella Wells, 87, a passenger in the Malibu, also died of injuries suffered in the crash.

The driver of the Malibu was taken to a hospital, but was not seriously injured. Police say he was at fault in the crash.

The occupants of the other two vehicles declined treatment, police said. Chaplin declined to say what charges were pending against the man driving the Malibu.

A Cook County jury on Friday saw two more videotaped confessions from Andre Crawford, who allegedly preyed upon prostitutes for much of the 1990s.

Crawford, who is charged with the rapes and murders of 11 women, and the attempted murder and rape of another woman he left for dead, stared straight ahead or scribbled in his legal pad as prosecutors played the confessions he gave after his arrest in 2000.

 He gave detailed descriptions of the murders of Rhonda King and Angel Shatteen, prostitutes who worked in the New City neighborhood where he lived. Crawford, now 47, confessed to taking the women to an abandoned building after they agreed to trade sex for cocaine.

In the fall of 1994, he stabbed King in the back of the neck with a steak knife after she demanded to get high before having sex with him, and then sexually assaulted her as she died.

In April 1995, he said he strangled  Shatteen after she stopped in the middle of a sex act and demanded drugs.

Crawford admitted in both statements that he returned to the scene to have sex with the victims a second time, and during his statement about King’s murder, Assistant State’s  Attorney Margaret Wood asked him why he returned to assault her body.

“It’s obvious,” Crawford said. “I enjoy having sex with dead bodies.”

ChicagoChicago reviews Police are conducting a death investigation after a 56-year-old man apparently fell three stories to his death from his rear porch Wednesday evening, officials said this morning.

Marian Monica, of the 2800 block of North Laramie Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene Wednesday at 7:28 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said officials are conducting the death investigation after the man apparently fell three stories from his rear porch.

The man was last seen at 9 a.m. and was found on the ground at about 5:30 p.m., Perez said. When Chicago Fire Department paramedics responded, they found Monica dead.

Grand Central detectives are investigating.

The 2006 shooting death of T.I.’s best friend and personal assistant, Philant Johnson, shook the rapper to his core. After a fight at a club in Cincinnati, T.I. and his entourage left in a fleet of vans to escape the escalating situation. While trying to leave amicably, the rapper and his crew were chased down and their cars were sprayed with bullets. The senseless act of violence left three people injured and Philant Johnson dead. Three years later, justice is finally being served.

41-year-old Padron Thomas, who was the driver of the opposing vehicle, pleaded guilty to manslaughter Wednesday. Initially charged with murder, Thomas received a lesser sentence after he testified against his brother. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for November 17th, where Thomas could face up to 10 years in prison. He’s currently serving 17 years on unrelated federal drug charges.

His brother, Hosea Thomas, was sentenced to 66 years to life for the shooting. The convicted murderer will not be eligible for parole until 2074 when he’s 100 years old.(Source)

His fortune has been estimated at £500 million but in these tougher times even he has taken a hit.

He grins and says: ‘Hey, if you don’t lose some money in this recession it means you didn’t have enough to start off with. Sure I lost a few (million) but that’s just because I have so much. This is a time that will sort the strong from the weak. Any businessman who wants a piece of the future should learn from me.’

I came from the bottom of the bottom. It’s hard for a lot of people to comprehend my story – a lot of people just don’t get me because they haven’t experienced it. I didn’t fit in at school, teachers were telling me if I worked hard and studied then maybe I’d be able to get a job and – if I saved – a Toyota. Being dropped by my record label hurt more than being shot. I was shot in May 2000 when I was sitting in a car. You don’t actually feel each bullet hit you. The adrenaline is pumping and you’re trying to get out of the way. I had just been signed by Columbia Records and they dropped me because of the shooting. I could deal with every bullet wound but I couldn’t take that.

The birth of my son gave me a future. My ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, gave birth to my boy, Marquise, 11 years ago. He changed the direction of my life completely. I decided then to turn to music. Having a child meant I didn’t want to be what I had been. I just walked away and never looked back.

UPDATE: Jenkins was apparently ID’ed through fingerprints.

UPDATE: RCMP Sgt. Duncan Pound: “At this present time the investigation into the circumstances of his death is continuing, but preliminary evidence suggests that he took his own life. Any further details will not be released at this time as this investigation remains in its infancy.”

Ryan Jenkins has been found dead in Canada, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

He was found dead in at Thunderbird Motel in Hope, B.C. of an apparent suicide, according to RCMP Sgt. Duncan Pound.

Jenkins’ body was discovered by motel staff. According to law enforcement sources, he was found hanging.

Jenkins was charged on August 20 in the murder of his wife, Jasmine Fiore.

Fiore’s mutilated body was found in a suitcase inside of a dumpster in Buena Park, Calif. on August 15.

Samuel is well known in the Miami-Dade area, police are investigating the brazen shooting death of a Miami journalist who worked for Don Diva Magazine. Allhiphop.com is reporting Samuel Ferguson, 47, was shot to death on Friday (August 14) when unknown assailants opened fire on his car, as he was driving along the Florida Turnpike.

Samuel Silvasteen was President of Don Diva, crashed his car into a median and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ross, who had known Ferguson prior to his job with Don Diva, took Ferguson to his Carol City, Florida neighborhood for an interview, presumably for the magazine.

Ross became angry with Ferguson over an interview with Hip-Hop Weekly and with Don Diva magazine titled “Would the Real Rick Ross Stand Up.”

Guanabee: A premature baby in Paraguay was found to be alive hours later right before he was taken to a funeral wake. The father’s baby Jose Alvarenga discovered that his son was still alive after he head a cry coming from the box where he was placed.

“I opened it to look at his remains and found that the baby was breathing,” said the father. “I began to cry.”
