One firefighter was injured and a home was destroyed by an extra-alarm fire in north suburban Kildeer Monday evening.

UPDATE: Robert Fine was found unharmed at a gas station outside Rockford where he stopped for gas, and his family was en route to pick him up, sheriff’s police said. No further details were released.
