23 arrested, 12 were expected to be charged and 11 were released without charges, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The outpatient clinic is one of six Mayor Rahm Emanuel has proposed closing, along with clinics in the Palmer Square, Rogers Park, Auburn Gresham, Back of the Yards and Morgan Park neighborhoods.

Calumet City Police Gun Down 15 Year Old w/ Asperger’s Syndrome!

CALUMET CITY, Ill. — Suburban Chicago police have shot to [rip] a 15-year-old boy suffering from Asperger’s syndrome after he threatened officers with a knife.

The mother of Stephon Watts says she called police to her Calumet City home Wednesday after the boy became upset and did not want to go to school. People with Asperger’s often have normal or high intelligence, but struggle with social skills.

Calumet City Police Chief Edward Gilmore says police were frequently called to the Watts home to deal with Stephon, who he said was “very strong and liked to fight with police.”

Gilmore says the boy was in the basement holding a knife when police arrived. He says the teen lashed out, cutting one officer on an arm.

Woman & Child Held Hostage On 67th & Jeffrey!!!

A month-old infant and a woman were held hostage for almost 10 hours overnight on the Far South Side, according to police.

The barricade situation stemmed from a domestic disturbance that began about 9:10 p.m. Saturday night in the 6700 block of Jeffrey Boulevard in the Pill Hill neighborhood, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

Police remained at the scene at 6:45 a.m. after police subdued the man with an electronic stun gun.

Keananna Streeter Of Chicago Kills Boyfriends New Girlfriend!

An 18-year-old Chicago woman was ordered held today on $500,000 bail on charges she fatally stabbed her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend earlier this month.

Keananna Streeter, of the 2900 block of West Wilcox Street, is charged with first-degree murder in the Sept. 1 stabbing.

Streeter is accused of attacking Ragan McDougle, 32, the day after the victim arrived to pick up Streeter’s ex-boyfriend on the 2800 block of West Roosevelt Road.

“The defendant sprayed her ex with mace and threw a bottle at the waiting car,” said Assistant Cook County States Attorney William Hall. “The victim got out of the car … The defendant began fighting with the victim, stabbing her multiple times with a knife.”

McDougle, of the 5000 block of South Dorchester Avenue, was stabbed at least three times in her left side, neck and right temple. She was pronounced dead shortly later at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

Cook County prosecutors today will announce criminal charges in a year-long investigation into the trafficking of children and young women for sex by Chicago street gang members.

Operation “Little Girl Lost” was conducted jointly by the state’s attorney’s office, Chicago police and the Cook County sheriff’s office with assistance from federal and other local agencies.

Tragic 1 Year Old Shot In Head In South Chicago!

A 1-year-old girl is fighting for her life after being shot in the head this morning on a street in the South Chicago neighborhood, police said.

The incident happened about 8:11 a.m. at 84th Street and Muskegon Avenue, where the child and her 15-year-old aunt were walking a dog, police said. The aunt heard shots and fell on the child. Earlier police reports had said the child was with her mother.

A man was bicycling in the area near the woman and her child when two male teens began shooting at the bicyclist, who managed to get away, police said.

One person was being questioned, authorities said.

The child was hit by one of the bullets and was taken by family first to Advocate Trinity Hospital before being transferred to Children’s Memorial Hospital where she underwent surgery. The aunt was not injured, police said.
