Report of body in lake spurs search
Police and fire department teams responded this afternoon to Lake Michigan near Bryn Mawr Avenue to a report of a body floating in the water, officials said.
After a difficult search by police and fire dive teams, however, no body was found and the search was called off.
A police Marine Unit officer said floating debris was found, but no body.

Quention Curtis, a Fire Department spokesman, said the report indicated a body was about 100 yards off shore.
The “very dangerous” recovery operation by police and fire dive teams was made treacherous by high winds and choppy waters, he said.
Bryn Mawr is about 7 miles north of the LoopA Loop reviews
in the city’s Edgewater neighborhood.
