New electric barrier takes aim at Asian carp

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said it activated today a new electric fish barrier on the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal near Romeoville designed to keep Asian carp from migrating to Lake Michigan.

Cops: Stolen debit card used to feed kids at McDonald’s

A Chicago woman who allegedly used a stolen debit card to purchase hamburgers for herself and two children less than 50 yards from where the card was reportedly stolen is scheduled to appear in Will County court April 25 on two felony charges.
