KD along with YCHS, Phil Cardona, and BED Miami present the 2nd Annual Blackout. An all black affair in efforts to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS in our communities with the help of celebrities in the industry. This year’s event will be hosted by superstar actress & producer Vivica A. Fox. Proceeds will benefit Empower U, Inc., which is a peer-based and managed organization founded by and for people living with HIV/AIDS. A commitment to supporting community-based HIV/AIDS prevention education programs, harm reduction programs, and direct services to persons living with HIV/AIDS. Remember… Gift bags with pamphlets, samples, condoms, etc will be available on site as well as mobile unit (following day). “Not talking about it isn’t going to make it go away!”

During Erykah Badu’s set at Sunday’s Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, the artist recounted a memorable moment from her childhood.

When the kids at school were asked what they wanted to be when they grew up, the 39-year-old singer says, “One little girl said ‘I wanna be a doctor.’ One little girl said, ‘I wanna be mall security.’ One girl said, “I just want my daddy to come home.’” Badu recalled saying, “I just wanna be funky.”

When rapper Fat Joe listed his $2 million Florida mansion for sale recently, the 39-year-old denied speculation the sale was spurred by financial woes.
