In the past three years, San Diego Chargers Antonio Cromartie has been named in at least five paternity suits. That’s because the 25-year-old has at least seven children with six different women in five states. All of his children are under the age of six.

Later this month, Cromartie will appear in a San Diego Superior Court for a judgment related to a $25,00 past due amount in child support that he owes one of the mothers of his children.

“My client has every hope and expectation that Mr. Cromartie will honor his responsibilities to his children and live up to his court-ordered responsibilities,” said Steven Bishop, an attorney representing one of the mothers. “She keeps receiving promises, but she can’t feed her child with promises.”

Jennifer Hudson stepped out looking stunning in a royal blue flowing gown at Elton John’s Oscar party on Sunday, but the Hollywood social scene comes second to her true vocation – motherhood. “He’s great. He’s [steadily] growing,” Jennifer told Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos of her seven-month-old baby boy, David Otunga Jr. “He’s crawling now.” “I’m just loving being a mom,” the Chicago-born singer gushed.

Little Davidalready has a huge personality and loves the family dogs: “He’s always trying to play with them and he thinks he’s one of them,” says Jennifer. “He even growls like the dogs and I’m like, ‘Are you growling?’ “We were just on the plane the other day and he was growling at the broccoli that he was playing with,” Jennifer laughed. “He was like, ‘Arrrrr!’ He growls at the other babies and he think that’s how you’re supposed to communicate.”

Besides her love her kids, J-Hud is also thinking about her upcoming wedding. So what about the dress?

Fantasia Barrino is under a self-imposed lockdown — after the “American Idol” champ received a threatening letter.

It all started last night at the Pantages Theater in L.A. — Fantasia was reading her fan mail after a performance of “The Color Purple.”

Fantasia’s manager tells us Barrino became alarmed over a disturbing letter loaded with racial slurs — including the n-word — and a line that read, “go back where you came from and die.”

We’re told the person who wrote the letter claims he used to work as a security guard for Fox while Fantasia was on “A.I.”

Fantasia’s manager tells us the singer immediately contacted theater security — which then contacted the LAPD.

The son of soul legend Etta James says his mother has been hospitalized amid infection and battles with Alzheimer’s.

THE SPIN

Donto James, son of 72-year-old singer Etta James says his mom has been hospitalized for treatment of a serious infection.

It seems James has been diagnosed with MRSA – a bacterial infection that’s resistant to multiple antibiotics.

Making matters worse is that the celebrated singer is now battling Alzheimer’s. Donto revealed that Etta was diagnosed with the
disease a year ago.

He told CNN: “Right now she is very confused.”

Though she is ill, he says she’s “quite combative … fighting, biting – I’m talking way off the chart.”

As strong as she is he still worries about how long she can keep going, however. “I am going to end up losing my mother if it
keeps going on like this,” he said.

Donto James said he’s hoping for more information about his mother’s condition:

“There has to be another doctor out there who can tell me what is going on with my mother. It’s 2010 and we should know
something, should be able to diagnose.”

Donto James said he was talking freely to CNN about his mother’s medical problems because he’s hoping someone can
help him understand what is going on.

OK, so I’m going to say this as mildly as possible in order not to sound like a jackass and have Ms. James threatening to whoop
my ass the way she did with Beyonce only a year ago: She has a diagnosis, no?

I read MRSA and Alzheimer’s. Hopefully this amount of attention can maybe boost Etta’s prayer count, but talking to
CNN won’t help you understand anything unless you’re talking to Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

In any event, we here send well wishes to Ms. James and family.

If you thought Whitney Houston’s comeback was complete, think again. The pop diva will mark 25 years in the business by launching a world tour in support of her latest album I Look to You.

The “Nothing But Love” world tour, her first since 1999’s “My Love Is Your Love” outing, commences on February 6
in Seoul, South Korea, and travels through Japan, “IL_AD2″>Australia, and Europe, currently scheduled to wrap June 10 in Helsinki, Finland.

Houston’s seventh studio album I Look to You topped the charts worldwide when it was released last year and spawned the
singles “Million Dollar Bill” and the title track.

On January 26, Arista Records/Legacy Recordings will issue Whitney Houston: The Deluxe Anniversary Edition. The CD/DVD package

We just received word that soul and R&B legend Teddy Pendergrass has died.

Pendergrass started his career with The Cadillacs before moving on to The Blue Notes (where he had the massive hit “If You Don’t Know Me By Now”). Pendergrass would go on to launch a highly successful solo career and released hit singles like “The More I Get the More I Want,” “Close The Door” (celebrated in the Eddie Murphy hit THE NUTTY PROFESSOR), “I Don’t Love You Anymore” and “Turn Off the Lights.” 

In 1982 Pendergrass was involved in an automobile accident and paralyzed from the waist down. He announced his retirement from the music industry in 2006. He had been fighting illness in recent month including a lengthy hospitalization at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

Pendergrass – or “Teddy P” as he was affectionately nicknamed – will long be remembered for his smooth voice and classic hits. We send our best to his family and friends.

Daniel Gibson and Platinum Recording Artist Keyshia Cole gave away turkeys and a bag of groceries to families at Bethany Baptist Church, while J.J. She told Global Grind about her heart wrenching rape story…..

“When I was 19 years old, I was raped. I was working at a shoe store in California, and the store was robbed. The person robbing the store ended up putting a gun to my head and raping me. As he was raping me, I felt as though I was floating over myself, thinking, ‘This isn’t happening.’ I blanked out and had an out-of-body experience, like I was hovering above seeing this horrible thing happen to someone else…not me. I was fortunate enough to go the UCLA rape crisis center after this horrific ordeal. It gave me my life back. My dignity and self-esteem were gone and they helped me find them again. That’s why I now lobby for state legislatures across the country and the federal government to help raise funds and awareness for rape crisis centers, and I speak to all different kinds of people across the country about what happened to me. My goal is to never hear the words ‘me too’ from someone after I say ‘I was raped.”

The 2006 shooting death of T.I.’s best friend and personal assistant, Philant Johnson, shook the rapper to his core. After a fight at a club in Cincinnati, T.I. and his entourage left in a fleet of vans to escape the escalating situation. While trying to leave amicably, the rapper and his crew were chased down and their cars were sprayed with bullets. The senseless act of violence left three people injured and Philant Johnson dead. Three years later, justice is finally being served.

41-year-old Padron Thomas, who was the driver of the opposing vehicle, pleaded guilty to manslaughter Wednesday. Initially charged with murder, Thomas received a lesser sentence after he testified against his brother. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for November 17th, where Thomas could face up to 10 years in prison. He’s currently serving 17 years on unrelated federal drug charges.

His brother, Hosea Thomas, was sentenced to 66 years to life for the shooting. The convicted murderer will not be eligible for parole until 2074 when he’s 100 years old.(Source)

I just found out that Toya Carter and NFL Player James Hardy are NO longer together. Hopefully this is a rumor because that is crazy to me for the fact that a few days ago they were googly eyes at Toya’s birthday party. I was really rooting for this cute little couple but I really don’t know what went wrong. According to blogger Sandra Rose, she received from a source that they are no longer together but they are still friends. Now I visited his page for some info and James confirmed he didn’t even buy Toya that gun. I remember Toya tweeting that a very special person bought her it. So who did?

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Two great-uncles of syndicated radio host Tom Joyner, sent to the electric chair for the 1913 murder of a Confederate Army veteran, were unanimously pardoned Wednesday by South Carolina.

Officials believe the men are the first in the state to be posthumously pardoned in a capital murder case.

Black landowners Thomas and Meeks Griffin were executed 94 years ago after a jury convicted them of killing 73-year-old John Lewis, a wealthy white veteran living in Blackstock, a Chester County town 40 miles north of Columbia. Two other black men were also put to death for the crime.

"This won’t bring them back, but this will bring closure. I hope now that they rest in peace," Joyner said. "This is a good day."

Joyner, who lives in Dallas, and his attorney made a presentation to the state parole and probation board on Wednesday, then left the room while the board voted. Family members who flew in for the hearing included his wife and sons, of Dallas, and brother and his family, from Jackson, Miss.

Though he talks to roughly 8 million listeners on the radio daily, Joyner said facing the seven board members "scared me to death." When he was told how they voted, he said he waved his hands and hugged family members in a flood of relief and joy. He also called in to his radio show.

Joyner learned about his uncles’ fate two years ago during filming of the PBS documentary "African American Lives 2," which traced his lineage and 11 others’ through the research of Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr.
