Friends and relatives with flashlights searched the river at Foster and Pulaski into the night as Cashmere Castillo’s frantic father appealed to the public for help.
“We just got informed they’re going to stop the search because the current is too dangerous for the divers,” Willie Castillo said around 9 p.m. Sunday as about 10 people scoured the banks of the river. “But as a parent you don’t want to see your kid…”
Castillo broke down crying, unable to finish.
