A man, described as in his 30s, was shot this morning in Chicago’s Lawndale neighborhood.

At about 12:15 a.m., police responded to shots fired near 13th Street and Central Park Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro. When they arrived, police found a male victim with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, Alfaro said.

There was no information available about the victim’s condition or where he was taken for treatment, Alfaro said.

Police are investigating.
